    England tonight.

For the first time in ages we have achieved a realistic score against a team of part timers though in my opinion we have still underachieved. Without Foden and Saka we are lacking in creativity, they were both brilliant. Southgate moves on with the plaudits, where would we have been with fat Sam?

I could have knocked a team up from the best eleven posters on here and beat San Marino.

    It was embarrassing to watch.

We can only play the team in front of us. England has qualified. That is good enough for me.

We keep on qualifying for major tournaments after consistently thrashing the minnows, but as soon as we come up against an elite team it's game over.

Blatter's endemic corruption aside, we should not even be going to Qatar. If we do, I hope we still take the knee to show what hypocrites FIFA, EUFA and our own FA really are.

The population of San Marino adds up to about the same as the total population of Clitheroe, Great Harwood and Padiham, in which case I can't be arsed to comment on an England game against them. There cannot be anything worthwhile to say.

What's the point of FIFA allowing them to play? It's beyond me and about another 4 billion footy fans.

As BT has said 11 on here could have beaten them.

They have not won a game in over 180 games has got to tell you something.

They are fully paid up members of FIFA, therefore, they are included as entrants into the World Cup, no matter how badly they do.
There really should be some sort of seeding for a lot of these minor countries and a preliminary set of rounds, as per the FA Cup.
The odd one will get through to the later rounds and that would be good for their development. However, it is a faisco at the moment and 0-10 defeats are not good for those on the receiving end, nor are they any good to the winners.

Are most African teams fully paid up Sub, I was only half listening but someone was saying on TV that it is very unfair that African Coutries fight for only 5 places where others have a lot more.
