    No virtue-signalling footballers here.

Market Drayton Town turned up at Clitheroe on Saturday, their squad looking just a little bit threadbare, just the two subs on the bench. Turns out five of their lads had decided to take the day off and go to Cheltenham Races instead. Take the Knee or Take the Mini Bus ? No brainer for them lads, get on the bus, Cheltenham here we come.

I love non-league football, and all who play it.

Aye, they're clearly not in the bottom two for nothing are they. I just had to laugh though, they're young and they thought feck it. Nowt wrong with that, they'll be miserable old gits like me soon enough.

That tells me all I need to know about lower level football , it was changing when I was retiring at 41 , people going to races instead of playing , it’s gone bananas

4-0 BT, after 87 minutes it was only 2-0, two very late goals finished them off. It was very much like Chelsea and Burnley, shooting in practice for Clitheroe, Market Drayton struggled to get out of their own half, it should have been double figures but Clitheroe's finishing was appalling.
