    Team selection

" from Fulham Matchday thread " Interesting Line up Animal , have you or anyone else had any reports on Vita , has he featured at all for the Under 23s , I agree with the system you have chosen , however with the position we are in , I would prefer to use Kitching at full back as opposed to Vita , the Williams Lads unfortunately are just not good enough , the full back area has been a problem for many season's now, most of us have said the same for years , not sure who picks the team anymore !! ?, we need a full back quick , someone with a bit of Phil Chambers/Martin Gorry in him ,

I stuck Vita in my team Roma on the basis I've no idea what the lad is like where as I know the lads who've played in that position this season haven't pulled any trees up .

Schopp didn't fancy him and neither did Laumann so something clearly isn't right there not to be given any kind of opportunity at all .

Kitching at left back is a good call Roma rather than Vita .

As I said in the Fulham match thread we simply have to stop the amount of goals we are conceding because we just aren't going to score three's and fours .

The new HC has to strip this group of players back to the very basics to even have the remotest possibility of survival .

Last season has given many of them a deluded view of their ability , to be frank they aren't anywhere near as good as they think they are .

Brittain , Styles , Palmer , Woodrow , Freiser and Helik of late wouldn't so much as make the bench at the majority of clubs at this level right now .

The only real shining lights have been Collins and Iseka this season .

Much is made of Carlton Morris returning to the side but again if you dig down in to the weeds Carlton wasn't anywhere near the Norwich first team in 10 years and nobody who he went out on loan to fancied buying him either , these clubs were in league one !!!! .

A few goals from the bench or the benefit of 60 minutes starting last season is not the way to judge players in my opinion and it's something that I've realised of late .

90 minutes over two or three championship season's is the judge and jury , week in and week out .

I'm also of the opinion that many of our players are sulking like spoiled brats because they didn't get the big money moves some thought they were going to get last summer .

Well there's a simple reason for that , they weren't worthy of playing any higher and even Val other than freebie Mowatt didn't want them either .

Val wouldn't have given a shiny shyte about gutting our players given his ruthlessness and it clearly didn't stop him gutting our backroom staff .

I'm as guilty as the next man for overstating the merits of these players given the season we had last but in that Hull game i saw things on that pitch that led me to change my opinion .

This group wouldn't get out of league one in my opinion .

Good assessment that Animal , it's going to be interesting to see who Poya picks on Wednesday , just a reference to our former coach , a Baggies fan I see occasionally out walking , " says they aren't happy at all with Val , makes same changes every game but to no effect, many want him out already , they have been found out of late by other teams , play offs at best , and they aren't even guaranteed that he reckons " , would he come back here ? And would he be welcome ? A one trick pony who took full advantage of the 5 subs rule ? He did well here I thought , some of our games under him were excellent ,others were appalling ,

I don't think the owners would have him back Roma even if he became available .

They've made it pretty clear what they thought of last season .

Val gave us our fourth best ever season at a time when almost all of us needed a lift given the circumstances we were living under .

Sometimes it was a hard watch but the end clearly justified the means and I suppose if you are going to play that way then with no fans inside the stadiums is as good a time to do it .

I think Val is probably getting as much out of Albion as anyone can get .

I don't think they have that great a squad in all honesty , miles behind Fulham and Bournemouth in my opinion .

A play off place is probably over achieving slightly at the Hawthorns .

Defiantly the worst WBA squad I've seen at this level in many a year compared to many other Albion teams I've seen over the years .

Having just watched Derby v Bornmuff , i have to say Derby fully deserved that win, they have impressed me on the few occasions i have watched them, they have some talented young players and some decent OLD heads in their squad, if the OLDER player's legs last out ? I can see them finishing comfortably in mid table , as for Bornmuff no doubting they are a good side , things have gone well for them so far , after Derbys 3 rd goal though some of their players started to get mardy /bad attitudes similar to when we won down in Bornmuff 3-2, they may be thinking they should be walking this league ? Make or break season I think for them , fail and their gamble of Top Flight football will see them go into decline fast , Fulham are the Standout Best Squad in the Championship for me ,

Halme injured, Kitching doubtful. Not sure that Vita has played for the U23s, but Hondermarck has, and reports appear to be positive, as they are about young striker David Bremang
