Not for everyone but since your hear you may as well read on
We all know energy bills have gone through the roof over the past 12 month and are forecast to rise even higher over the next 6 month. I posted a few month ago asking if anyone had solor power. Don't think it got a reply so presume no one has.
My 3 quote were between £8500 and £10500 this was for a large house usage is very high. (Workshop, Heated koi pond too many kids). The most expensive part was battery storage. I needed enough for 10kw storage and the battery's alone were around £4000-5500... I've just been reading a company called Seaborg have stumbled across using salt and a storage solution instead of li ion batterys. Salt has been around for years for storing heat but never used due to the corrosion it causes. Seaborg make nuclear power reactor's and have found a way of storing the salt without it causing premature corrosion to the vessel.
the director has made this statement though I'm not sure how this equates to real life use
If we filled up the Colosseum in Rome with the salt and heated it to 700 degrees, we would be able to supply Italy’s entire population with heat and power for ten hours”.
Maybe the futer is bright,. The future is salty
