Probably Jimmy is the reason I'm a Burnley fan, brought up in Accy I was an occasional visitor to both Turf Moor and Ewood Park, but spent every Saturday afternoon on Peel Park. A few of us decided in November 59 we'd had enough of watching Accy Stanley in the old Third North and we'd give both Blackburn and Burnley a chance to earn our loyalty. Burnley got first shout, they were at home to Forest on the Saturday, Blackburn were away. Burnley won 8-0, Jimmy scored 5 of them, all thoughts of a trip to Ewood were instantly forgotten and here I still am today. I was also at Wembley to see Jimmy score the 100th goal in Wembley Cup Finals.

RIP Jimmy, a true Burnley legend.
