    J C would weep?

    O little town of Bethlehem
How still we see thee lie
Above thy deep and dreamless sleep
    The silent omicron goes by
    Yet in thy dark streets
    The ever failing sight
The hopes and fears of all the year
Are not met in thee tonight

In Bethlehem, Omicron ruins hope for Christmas boom
Palestinian hotel and shop owners say what they make now in a day used to be pocket money for them in December, when Bethlehem would be packed with tourists; now, with pandemic entering its second year, some have lost all hope

    Where are the tourists?

    No, no tourists!

Everywhere is well and truly f*cked up Balan, until we all learn to live with this virus, governments will just do what they want.

Across the globe we are witnessing a political power grab and as usual, it's us muppets who suffer.

Jesus f*cking wept Alf, I had to look in the dictionary this morning to find the meaning of "quotidian", basically the experts are saying you have a better chance of winning the National Lottery than you have of escaping OMICRON.

Project Fear is off and running again - just in time for Christmas. The wife says if anyone thinks we are cancelling our ten guest Boxing Day "gathering" they can just f*ck right off!

Looks more to me by the minute that Omicron will be used as a convenient excuse for the NHS emergency that befalls us every winter. Ambulances queuing up outside A&E, patients waiting on trolleys for 12 hours or more, it happens every winter, it's perfectly normal, it will happen this winter as well. But when it does, instead of the government and NHS bureaucracy having to take the flak this time, they can just shrug their shoulders and point to Omicron. Nowt we can do mate, should have worn your masks. How very convenient, they will have been praying for a variant of concern to come along, and now they've got one. Lucky boys and girls.
