Smith deserved MOM for his goals but very good performances from Ferguson & REG. Dan still not back to his usual and a few more to be honest.
Does anyone get the feeling there's another 22 nail biters to be played this season? Promotion chasing Oxford and MKD will attest that there are no easy games in L1 as they both drop points at home today. Credit to Bolton coming off the back of a long Covid fueled layoff but we're back at the top, Smudge has found his scoring boots (or head) again and most importantly we've hit the magical 50pts mark and now I'm officially announcing we won't get relegated. Happy 2022 to everyone.
Thoughts?

Big fan of Wiles usually but I reckon he was partying last night.
Great roar from the crowd after Smith’s second. This was because it was a great goal and their keeper had been the pantomime villain.
Oggy, Reg, Icky and Smith stood out for me.
Just before HT Wood looked like he was injured and was done by their striker only for a Reg block to save him on the cover. I said to my mate he needs to come off. Then he pinged a 60 yard pin point pass with his left foot to Ferguson. Panic over.
Back to winning ways and back to the top of the league.
Those are the positives, but there were quite a few negatives on show and I couldn't pick out a M.O.M. today because I thought that they were all below their best and we could have easily lost that game due to our negativity. Twice in the last five minutes of the game Ogbene could have gone on a clear run to goal but instead just strolled down to the corner flag to try to waste time, which didn't work on both occasions because he lost the ball and gave them another chance to attack us. We do this quite often but we're no good at it. And why oh why do we retreat and sit back inviting the opposition on to us when we've got a single goal lead? Once again we're no good at it.What we ARE good at though is playing attacking football, so why don't we just go for another goal instead of riding our luck? We were up against a very average Bolton side today, which was lucky for us because WE played very average football. We all know that we can do a lot better than today's showing, so come on Millers get back to that lovely passing, attacking football that you've played in the majority of games, please. Don't throw this golden opportunity away, just go for it!
Could pick apart a few poor performances but we got the win that was needed. Smudge back in the goals which is great to see. Fair play to Sadlier when he came on, changed the momentum for me and looked lively with decent delivery in the main. Sub that had to be made. Fergie MOTM for me. Special mention to Woody's pings to Fergie, absolute beauties! Nice to have a break from chasing league points with the 2 cup games up next.
We lacked accuracy and composure along with some shocking deliveries today. We looked good in flashes but the level of performance by too many seemed to mirror the last 6 weeks. One huge positive though is that if we are going through a bad patch, like ALL clubs do throughout a season,we ain't dropping too many points.
Bolton until they tired on the hour mark I've seen worse sides than them this season, their no. 5 big unit impressed me. Still can't und
Awaiting what you can't und
cont... understand why Vickers doesn't start in goal. Ihiekwe is not comfortable on left of the back 3 again baffling why Harding isn't starting there. Edmunds Green Chieo Ferguson Smith our standout players. Subs we brought on took game more to them. Not got a league 1 game for 2 weeks see if we can bring anyone in to improve us, will have move some players out. Same as it's been all season not got a fit left sided central defender. Up front we're lacking.
their no5 was very good and could shift.
I'm still getting my hearing back after a guide dog sat directly behind me took a dislike to the lino, and was yapping in my lughole all match.
