    The sanitisation of football driven by folks that aren't interested in football, have never been to a match but they want to destroy the game.

    Not sure where this thread is heading but the referenced article is about a survey into mens' attitudes to women in sport. Predictably it reveals that a majority have negative views.

    I find this neither terribly surprising nor worrying.

    So do the three posters above that have reacted negatively to this story think that misogyny is something to be celebrated and protected? Struggling a bit with that logic here. I’m quite misogynistic towards our lass, but she deserves it.

    Well I've been watching the women's netball on BBC 4 this week and it's been addictive.
    I couldn't tell you much about the matches but the viewing has been great so all positive from me

    Mrs G loves it but she's an ex Sheffield and Yorkshire player so obviously biased.

    There is a place for women's netball and women's football but it not of a standard that merits the level of hype it gets.

    The theory of getting it to grow by more exposure is a flawed argument
