    Defensive Coach!

It used to be a common refrain on this site demanding a defensive coach. Not surprisingly it's all gone quiet on this front given we have played 27 games and conceded just 18 goals ( including the mad four we conceded in half an hour against Fleetwood).

I think what it shows is the following :-

    1) Stating the obvious - the quality of Championship sides compared with League 1
    2) We brought in Reg who has done really well.
    3) But most important of all is the performance and organisational direction of 36 year old Richard Wood -(take a bow).

(Honourable mentions also for Icky and Wes.)

Context, we defended really poorly in the championship, the players are much more comfortable at this standard.

If we go up I hope we can defend as well

Do you think we’ll need a defensive coach when Richard Wood hangs his boots up?
