    Finney

Surely his time is up! We are struggling in midfield with what amounts to two people trying to defensively stem the tide in the middle and therefore not being able to apply themselves going forward. Lowery is such a talent in picking out passes going forward but has had to work really hard to maintain or win possession that his effort is wasted. One reason for this is that Finney is a passenger, at best, and at worst is constantly returning the ball to the opposition. Therefore we have effectively been playing with 10 men for a large part of the season. What we need are ball carriers that will keep possession, move the ball forward and play useful balls into the forwards. For this to happen we will have to play a 4-4-2 formation utilising 2 of the newbies as wingers/midfielders. Fortunately Agyei is attack minded and the one from Chelsea can both defend and attack with the ball.
Assuming that none of the newbies are Gomes-type material, I have to say I will give up if Finney starts another game!🤦*♂️

I’m surprised you are just mentioning Finney, Callum Ainley has spent way to long at Crewe and proven to be rank average at best he is another I would be happy to part with.

Maybe part of the problem is that DA is too protective of them (?)

Fingers crossed that some of the new faces force their way into the team asap

Over the years I've said plenty about Ainley. However, I still think he has the edge on Finney. This makes Finney's exclusion/exit a greater priority than Ainley's. I think the latter will probably choose to leave sooner or later.
