    Worlds largest sovereign wealth funds

Thought this might interest a few

PIF are the 8th largest SWF in the world. I was quite surprised to see Norges Bank in Norway are the largest. I wasn't aware they had such big oil and gas reserves there

The Norwegian Wealth Fund is quite well known in the world of business. It is because their country has nearly exhausted its fossil fuel reserves so has committed the vast majority of its wealth into that fund.

It invests in Fintech and others ventures not linked to fossil fuels to diversify its portfolio. Like PIF - they'll invest in energy but not fossil fuels.

They'll happily invest in anything that provides a semi-predictably high return.

PIF will take higher risks because its fund it's always being topped up.

The Norwegian fund invests only outside Norway, to protect the internal economics in the country.

A little under 70% is invested in stock market, and just under 30% is invested in fixed income bounds.

7% can be invested into property, in big citys around the world. 2% can go into renewable energy.

Right now its value is 11806 billion kroners, wich is around £995 billion or £995 245 800 000 if you like.

It's value was €1Tn a while ago so it doesn't grow that quickly, even though a few billion here and there is not to be sniffed at

Or €1,183 if you want it in trillions. Would probably be €1,184tn in a few minutes.

Also, the fund is commonly referred to as the oil fund.
