Your right CIB really utd should have been out of sight but we stuck in there.

As for the players I agree re Brownhill but I did think at least he gave us legs centrally and was competitive where at against Watford we just weren’t and it cost us - we are lacking quality and we don’t have the players to compete at this level at the minute , fingers crossed we can gat a run going though and maybe the others will slip up.

Second half we did look at least like we wanted to win which counts for a lot when we’re watching.

I am beginning to think that if we can stay up, the summer transfer window could see some positive talent brought in. Cause for optimism.

In the latter stages of Garlick we brought in Stevens (why?) and Erik Pieters (excellent), as well as JayRod.

Since the take over we have brought in Roberts, Collins, Cornet, Weghorn and brought back Lennon.

Lennon is not a spent force. I prefer him to JGB.

At best, the new recruits are an improvement, at worst they are no worse than the players they will be replacing - Bardsley, Tarkowski, JGB, Woods.

The problem is midfield, as we all know. Stevens is useless. Jack Cork is past his best. Brownhill is limited. Playing with two in midfield exposes us against three.

If we could find a midfielder or two like a Defour, with creative and technical ability in summer, that will be a massive step forward.

The other positive is that we are looking further afield than Championship players. Cornet and Weghorst are excellent examples of what is out there in the Bundesliga, La Liga etc. At a reasonable price.

I can see why we'd sign Championship players - less risk of them not settling in. Easier DD. But the world is a big place. Our last three "abroad" signings - Defour, Max, Wegmeister were / are promising.
