    Thistle Cup Thread

Hoping for similar team but hearing mcdonald may be rested which would be a shame - just not pawlett or clark please. No fvcking about same attitude as wednesday.

Im thinking a 2-1 win with the donkey putting them up 1-0 but getting sent off for climbing into the fire hazard to start a fight.

Where's abody going for drinks? doing a pub crawl from city centre on way up myself

There may be genuine reasons as to why McDonald cant play this weekend, it would only be his second game in his comeback and i am happy to see him rested.

    For me its.....

    Siegrist,
    Edwards, Mulgrew, Graham
    Smith, Harkes, Butcher, Levitt, Niskanen
    Watt, McNulty.

Would hate to see Butcher and Graham being dropped after their efforts of late

This for me is more difficult than the Killie tie

Partick with having games in hand are very much contenders to win the championship, worryingly from our point of view as we haven't scored many away from home recently they have kept 8 cleansheets in the last 10 at Firhill and have lost just 1 of their last 15 games full stop

There isn't a big gap between the top end of the division and ours

I would take any kind of performance or outcome that sees us in the hat for the next round

They also aren't scoring many goals at home though, averaging less than a goal a game over the last three and a half months. Our defence has been good of late as well. Their last couple of home defeats have been vs teams above them in the league. It'll be a tight game no doubt, but we should have nothing to fear. I'm confident.

Through in WeegieLand for overnighter tonight and then Wetherspoons George Sq bright and early tomorrow morning for breakfast of lager with optional bacon roll.

Got the fear here though what with all the ‘better coaching’ Wee Jobbie will have been doing this week.

The most worrying thing about this tie is the McCall and Graham factor, they both hate us with a passion and would love to knock us out. They kinda mind me O the Funsters where its more important to damage us rather than win anything themselves. Its better than a trophy springs to mind.

Yes McCall will have them very well motivated.

We were lucky last year to beat them at home.

    No room for error tomorrow.

I imagine similar team with the back 3.

If KM can’t make it them I’d expect a more defensive midfielder comes in - perhaps Akinola

No shouldn't fear it but could be very tight and likely one goal will decide it
