    Sadiq Khan Needs To Go

Whilst I have no time for Cressida Dick the criticism from Khan in public and to the papers is disgusting! He’s a complete t osser and should be made to resign too!

    The former deputy commissioner has said and agree 100% with him;
"You don't say that you have got weeks and days to sort this out. You don't play to the newspapers while you are trying to do this. You talk to them. You talk your way through that plan and if that plan is not up to scratch you tell them privately that this is time to go.

"I think that the way this has been played out in public has been deeply unhelpful

So resign Khan you absolute jobs worth - your an even bigger embarrassment!

I quite agree - it’s disgusting the way Khan has used the media to openly criticise Dick who at the end of the day is a long-standing public servant doing the job to her best. Hate to see people hounded out of office by politicians in this way. Ok the Met needs to go through major change - maybe Dick was or wasn’t the right person to lead the change. But to be put through the wringer in public by the London Mayor is not the way to treat people. Hope Khan gets what he deserves ... ideally a public rebuke and eventually the sack ..... unfortunately in Left-leading London I can’t see it happening any time soon ....

Dick seems to be held in high regard judging by the messages of support she is getting, Khan is a snidy little runt who defended jihadists and can't manage a massive TfL budget so starts introducing further measures to bleed drivers dry to fund the shortfall. He must be impossible to work with, she must be feeling a massive sense of relief and frustration in equal measure.

Dick quite obviously had the support of many of her higher ranked officers and to change the culture of such a large organizations as the Met. (which, let's face it, has not had the best of reputations since the fifties) was always going to be a huge task. That said her responses to several high profile issues during her tenure clearly showed that she needed to go.

As for Khan, I used to think that he wasn't so bad but turns out he is yet another self serving little prick who would say/do and stitch up anyone to remain in a position of power. Where do they all come from? Fast despairing of our political options in this country.....

Here I am to provide a bit of balance to this site...

For those of you who don't know, I live in London and vote for Khan, and will do again at the next mayoral election.

I think he talks a lot of sense when I hear him talk. He's never defended jihadists, but that sounds like something the Daily Mail would write.

Talking of my good old favourite worthless reading material, the Daily Mail, its probably the main reason I vote for him is because they and other rags try and stick the knife in. When the cowboys in our RW media write sceptical derogatory things about people (the 'jihadist defender' thing is a great example), it makes me actually like that person a lot more.

Finally, Khan gets a lot of stick for knife crime in London. Mostly from Tories, who don't seem to realise that Tory budget cuts to the police have probably been the largest cause of this. Anyway, he removes the head of the Met police and asks for strategic change - and is again attacked by Tories. Seems bizarre to me.

Some terrible scandals have happened on Cressida Dicks watch as head of the Met police, at that level I don't buy the 'he/she is doing their best'. These people need to be competent. And unlike in politics, where you can be incompetent and lie your way to the top, you can't do that in many other jobs. So I say its more than time for her to move on, and for someone fresh to come in.

Can’t disagree with any of this 123.. or should I say.. Khan touch this 😂

Anyway they way this thread started you’d think Khan was the manager of our team or our PM. I personal couldn’t care about Khan but that’s just purely down to he’s responsible for London, it’s nothing to do with where I live. So I can’t really comment on how he’s really doing unless i’m a resident there. But what I find incredible is that for weeks (perhaps years) we’ve said Cress Di ck being so bad and Khan influenced her stepping down? The media and folks here been slating her for ages.. but as soon as Khan does it??? Ridiculous. It’s all his fault.. he’s responsible for extremists and knife crime - because it’s easy to racially profile and stereotype this propaganda by the Tories. Are they trying to divert attention away from their own incompetence? Definitely. This is a cheap shot.. and an all too common trick the tories have up their sleeve they use from time to time. I’m going to be called lefty now.

Cressida Dick was an appalling leader and should never have had the job in the first place.

Khan is an appalling opportunist and political Pygmy.

I don’t know the etiquette in regards to how he acted but it may possibly be one thing he actually got right albeit years too late.
