    Howe vs Gerrard

After 3 or 4 months of the media licking Steven Gerrards hoop and suffering all pundits telling us we were nailed on to go down....

Both managers have had 13 league games. (Approx 1/3 of a season) and both managers have 17 points.
We have 4 wins, 5 draws and 4 defects while villa have 5 wins 2 draws and 6 defeats.

Personally I think that considering Eddie Howe had to arrest the slide that the bacon muncher had us hurtling down, we can have good confidence going forward, without getting carried away...

Let the media enjoy their darlings while we quietly go about our work.

Couldn't care less about Gerrard. He's the heir apparent to Scousepool so they'll never stop loving him.

Howe's attacking mentality is just what we need. Just need better personnel to execute but I can see where he is trying to go with his brand of footie.

I'm glad we appointed Howe over Lampard or Gerrard. What he achieved at Bournemouth was more impressive than what those two did imo. Howe was renowned for getting the best out of players and that's what we're seeing. Our football is like night and day compared to Bruce

Howe inherited a squad bereft of significant investment for a decade. Gerrard quite the opposite.
If we had the quality of players that they do I’d be furious today after that result.

Gerrard will be just another Liverpool great, struggling to deliver as a manager - compared to hes playing career.

Its a bit of the same story with Lampard I feel.

I hope they never become a manager at our club.

    I thought that to Viking.

I still do about Lampard, think he may end up at Chelski again to be honest but I don't think he'll do great as a manager.

Gerrard. . . Sadly, I think he'll do well as a manager, I think he'll come back to Liverpool and win trophies for them.

However, I would currently want Howe over either of them.

Me too. Howe has done it all compared to the other two who had their early management careers handed to them on a plate.

Howe began at the bottom with a nothing squad and no investment and built his own success without buying it.

I doubt in the same shoes either Lampard or Gerrard would have had the same phenomenal success.

If Gerrard takes over from Klopp, I can say 100% he will fail.

Me too. It’ll be like Moyes after Ferguson.
