O/T:- Can someone explain to me [Taylor vs. Catterall]

How Josh Taylor is better than Jack Catterall?

I actually emailed the British Board of Boxing Control today to complain. That is the worst judging decision I've seen in all my time watching boxing. Jack Catterall absolutely battered Josh Taylor and should be the World Champion today.

Ian John Lewis' scorecard of 114-111 for Taylor absolutely beggared belief. I re-watched the fight this morning without the commentary to see if I'd been swayed by the commentators last night, but it was blatantly obvious that Catterall won by at least three clear rounds. Lewis should never referee or judge a world title fight again.

Literally every expert at ringside saw it for Catterall. Carl Froch suggested that he coasted the last few rounds when he shouldn't have, but has since clarified that he still had Catterall winning it.

I don't know what's worse. The idea that two experienced referees and judges could be so incompetent to score a fight so badly, or the suspicion that something else could be at play. Fighters put their lives on the line for our entertainment and they deserve competent and honest judging.

I have to say, I lost a lot of respect for Josh Taylor for trying to claim victory. If he had said diplomatically that it's impossible for the fighters involved in the fight to accurately judge the outcome I could have forgiven him, but if he genuinely thought he won then he must be delusional or still concussed.

It was a complete disgrace. The post fight view/comments from the Taylor camp were almost as embarrassing as the judges score cards.

Absolutely awful decision. I just cannot see how it could be scored it like that. I’ve seen many fights where you could honestly have seen it either way, this absolutely was not one of those. It does make you question if money changed hands.
