    Shane Warne RIP

    Gutted at his passing away.
What a legend, what a character, what an amazing bowler.
Thoughts with his family and friends.
    RIP Shane.

    One of a kind!
Here one day, wishing condolences to Rod Marshes family, then gone the next. Will be a huge loss to the cricket world.
Be kind people, it could happen to any of us.

That came out of the blue for sure. Only just taking in the demise of Rodney Marsh and now this. Naturally both were hated figures when playing against England - a testament to their top quality play - but still great to watch from a neutral perspective.

Sky Sports however figure that he took 46 hat tricks in test matches

A statistic that simply cannot be true, I'm guessing they meant 1 hat trick, but still one of the all time greats in his field

Well said and seconded. A flawed genius perhaps, but he still did far more good than harm and who will ever forget THAT ball in the 1993 Ashes? Certainly not Mike Gatting. Probably the single most spectacular ball I’ve ever seen in Test cricket and certainly the most spectacular from a spinner.
Great cricketer and commentator gone far, far too young. As others have said...RIP.
