Won't be the last championship club to turn in results like this, I'm waiting to see Middlesbro for one possible disaster.
Suppose it's too much to hope for Reading being docked more points this season is it? But the ours are yet to come....
Thought you have had problems?![]()

Maybe not GP..... I don't normally trust The Athletic but thought this was worth posting.
They are saying that Barnsley have written to EFL claiming that "Reading are cheating and that the club's finances have put Barnsley at a competitive disadvantage".
Starting to look like the EFL have blown the lid off Pandora's box.
Indeed, Reading could be in trouble than just that, as they beat Middlesbrough 1-0 back in September, and those 3 points may yet cost the Smoggies a place in the playoffs, which they would naturally breeze through and into the premiership. Reading should expect at least a £ 50 million claim to ensue, if not more as the value of a PL place continues to escalate.
Apples and pears Tricky. Wendy was an open and shut case. They sold the ground in one financial year but put the proceeds in the previous year's accounts to avoid exceeding FFP limits. Derby were found not to have done anything wrong in regard to the sale of Pride Park. The original Disciplinary Committee hearing ruled there was no case to answer with regard to the accounting issue. That committee contained some accountants. The EFL eventually decided to appeal the verdict. The appeal committee, which contained no members with an accounting background making it somewhat of a kangaroo court, decided, in its wisdom, that there was something wrong with the accounting method. It all took a lot of time. Covid is one of the reasons for the delays. EFL cause delays too. Time was also lost in questions asked taking a long time to answer. The communication was certainly not efficient. Derby may be responsible for some of the delay but, IMO, not for the majority of it.
My own view is that the whole sorry mess SHOULD and COULD have been sorted last season and we would have been relegated. That it wasn't could be argued to be partly derby's fault but much of it lies with the EFL and its committees, aided and abetted by Covid, taking forever to convene, another forever to reach a decision, yet another to publish it, taking every one of the permitted 30 days to decide to appeal the accounting issue, another age to convene the appeal, another one to reach a decision, another to inform DCFC and then God knows how long in discussions with Derby to, eventually, come to an agreement on the size of the punishment.
