    O/T Ukraine

I am in awe of the men who are staying to fight for their country against all the odds.
If it happened here, how many of you would pick up weapons?

I think in the UK it all depends on what you identify as. I think I'm a bloke so I would, but there aren't many teapots that can hold a weapon.

Its not holding it, it's knowing what to do with it when someone's firing back at you.......

I think people will do remarkable things when their homes, families and way of life are threatened.

    From the BBC website

Squatters have occupied a central London mansion believed to belong to one of the oligarchs sanctioned by the UK government.

They have draped Ukrainian flags over the Belgrave Square property and are encouraging members of the public to join in their protest.

The property is believed to be owned by billionaire energy tycoon Oleg Deripaska, an ally of Vladimir Putin.

Protesters have said the occupation is to "do the job" of Home Secretary Priti Patel.

They called on the home secretary to send Ukrainian refugees to live in the Belgrave Square property.

Might be useful if anyone wants to crash either before of after the Papa's

Depends on the circumstances, sometimes people welcome invasions like with the "Glorious Revolution", although the Catholic population were less keen on it.

I thought about going out to support the resistance but in hindsight it wouldn’t be a good idea.
Not the actual fighting for the cause but if I was captured I would be paraded by Putin and used as a propaganda tool that England are fighting the war and obviously that wouldn’t be great.

They are very brave and proud and I respect that deeply.
How many over here would be so brave if we are invaded who knows.

Oleg Deripaska was formerly an acquaintance of George Osborne, Peter Mandelson and Nat Rothschild.

Regarding whether British people would fight as the Ukrainian people are doing. There is one thing that hasn't happened to Britain that has happened in pretty much every other European country and that is occupation. Well not in living memory.
When I go to the services on November 11th each your I wonder what it must have been like.
When I talk to my elderly neighbours they reluctantly tell stories of certain days like the fear they had when the Nazis made their way to Limoges after what they did at Oredore-sur-glane some passing through our village and shooting dead 2 young men 70m from my home. The worse part being that some of the perpetrators were actually French born. It's hard to imagine what some people have gone through and it's hard to believe that it's happening again today.

I honestly believe that British people would fight, disrupt and form one hell of a resistance.
