St Johnstone can confirm Callum Davidson has tested positive for COVID.
The Manager is fine and well at home and will be back at McDiarmid Park next week.
Steven MacLean will lead the backroom staff from the technical area on Saturday against Motherwell.

He'd better not still be registered as a player!

Indeed as he almost always scored against us, no matter who he played for!

We really could be doing with getting our first league win of the season on board here. I don’t think for a second that we will be relegated or even involved in the relegation battle but for the confidence of the team and perhaps more importantly, the support, we need to see a win on the board. This wretched run is doing nothing positive for either the team or the support.

But will we get it? I’m afraid I just don’t see it as I have no faith whatsoever in GA to pick the correct team.

I said in February we wouldn't be winless by the end of the March. So will stick with that...

We desperately need to get the first goal in the game again.

Lose tomorrow and there is no way the board/ Well Society can justify keeping Alexander as manager. The winless run we are on in the league would have already got managers the sack at other clubs. We cannot wait until the summer to sack him if we lose tomorrow, he would have to go immediately to allow a new manager to access the pool of players we have at present. Then allow him to use the transfer window to strengthen the team.

Even if we lose today we won't sack the manager when we could still finish sixth.

The WS isn't directly responsible for day today decisions club either.

We definitely won't sack GA anytime soon... this will only happen if we are relegated, too little too late. A tenth place finish will secure his job for another season, unless he does the honourable thing and walks away. Any notion we can still finish sixth on recent form is fanciful, similar to saying back in August we could potentially win the league.

We'll find out how last week's 5-2-3 will look...SOD for Mugabi, Shields for the presumably injured Roberts. MOH not in squad.
