My take on our forward line issue

I may be wrong and someone may know the answer to my point. Apologies for a drawn out post but there are many permutations.

We have a massive forward line injury issue, I don't have to mention who's out you should all know.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but regarding team sizes, is it too late to send someone out on loan in order to bring someone in?
My point is, for a word, in order to bolster our fragile front line, we need to bring someone in if only for 9 games. Let me expand.

I'll cut to the quick. If permissible, can we send JJ out on loan and bring in a proven centre forward that may cost 'some' money who is out there on a free if only for 9 games? I'm not sure that's why I'm asking.

Imagine, if there is a centre forward out there, match fit, who will cost a wedge but who can partner Smudge and get us over the line. Am I thinking too much out of the box?

Apologies but JJ is not our answer to these 9 final games. We have shown today we cannot change our line up to be a serious threat to anyone. Is the answer to sacrifice JJ out on loan to bring in a high profile player who will cost a small mega wage to get us over the line?

No Grigg, Kelly, Ladapo, JJ....we are in a word f******!

I don’t think it’s the personnel as such more a reluctance and hesitation we seem to have picked up in the last couple of months. The extra touch on the ball and the safer inside pass instead of the quick cross or riskier through ball

We get good positions but over elaborate and the opposition recover.

Grist pal, we still need that two up front though and we no longer have that option. It's making our team line up and performance disjointed.

Can you shed any light on the points I've raised re loaning out and and bringing someone in?

We can’t loan JJ out to another football league club because the transfer window is closed.

The best would be a National League club.

The only players we can sign now are free agents that weren’t registered to a club when the January transfer window closed.

Hence unfit no hopers that will bring nothing to the table.

We could sign a player who was under contract but he wouldn’t be eligible to play until the summer transfer window opens.

I don’t think the rules allow what you suggest

Completely free agents can be recruited I think providing the total squad number isn’t exceeded

On a connected point, just what is wrong with Kelly?

Yes we could bring in a freebie but we won't. And tbh there's no point 9 games in 7 weeks
Were going to be forced to use Kayode from the start of we keep the 352 formation
Ogbene didn't get a kick when he played upfront so nullified ourwing attack.

A possible alternative would be 3231
Ike wood, McDonald (Harding) the back 3
    Barlazer and rathbone the 2
Miller, wiles and ogbene the 3 with Smith up top

Not much available on the market with experience other than Diego Costa somehow I don’t think he will pass Warnes good human being nor Gru’s exacting criteria.

Good job Smith appears bulletproof. Don't recall him ever being injured while with us. Hope I ain't gone and jinxed that now

From a league perspective we may only have to get through the 2 home games this week with Smith and JJ as the 2 main strikers. If the Sunderland game is rearranged due to International call up we will have 3 weeks without a league game. The other week is taken up by the cup final. Ladapo and possibly Grigg will be back then.
