    Cheshire Senior Cup

I see we have drawn Stockport in the semi-finals of this competition. Unfortunately, I'm booked to visit RHS Bridgewater that day so it'll be a bit of a squeeze time-wise.
It'll be an interesting fixture as we'll clearly be playing each other next season. However, what team will we put out as it's been the 'under 23s' that have appeared so far.
Stockport play an "energetic, high pressing game", according my County supporting friend. Against our slow 'patient' build up from the back, that will be something to watch (but from a tactical view)

Anyone else likely to go, seeing as we don't have a game on Saturday?

It might seem a bit reckless but I would be inclined to play our first team, whatever that is, especially with having no fixture this weekend. It probably will turn out to be an alarming yardstick to see where we really are.

Probably be more quality on show than we have had to endure this season that’s for sure. It will be better than that shocking excuse for a football match last Saturday dismal in every aspect apart from the tremendous away support.

Ever thought of being a Bolton fan, Wartman?
I'm going to Edgeley Park, mainly cos it's local but also because the Alex are my club and I support them when I can. Not surprised, Wartman, that you think that's a joke.
Anyway, more importantly, the Alex have an under 23 game the same night so it's probably best to play a mostly first team.
I say first team, but since we have so many injuries, we've hardly played a 'first team all season. I suspect that there will be some mix 'n' match, meaning there will probably be some quite young players appearing in the U23s.
My Stockport friend reckons that County won't commit a full fist team as their season still has a long way to go, even though they have 10 point cushion at the top of the national league. We should commit to it, if only for some possible positivity.

We played a young side along with Jaskelainen, Lundstram, Griffiths and Gomes.
    We lost 5-0.
We managed 3 shots. All created and taken by Onyeka.
The formation was something like 3-4-2-1/3-5-2. However, this played into the hands of a fast Stockport team who used the wings to stretch and exploit our back 3. Sam Bhatti had a rough time on the right of a back 3.
    Kashket started but didn't finish.
Woodcock came on and made some fantastic runs into space but wasted his breath as the passes never came.

The tone of your post comes across as despondent, I apologise if I have misread that however it probably should be. Of all of the bad results we have had this season this is probably the most damaging. To put some context into this 8 of the 11 starting in this match have featured for the first team, and they were completely and utterly outplayed in every department had it not have been for some fine saves from our goalkeeper this could have been double figures. I’m afraid the future of our football club looks about as bright as a 1 watt bulb at present, the U23 season in the professional development league has mirrored the 1st team struggling near the bottom and suffering some heavy defeats along the way including a 4-0 loss to Bristol prior to this game. The first team is very very poor the back up players are know where near football league standard, this is a glimpse of the future tonight guys right there don’t forget this is a non league side who have humiliated the Crewe side tonight also don’t forget League 2 Swindon beat us at home earlier in the season without coming out of first gear. The new head of recruitment is in for a baptism of fire trying to find the 12 plus players that this club needs to stave off back to back relegations tough times ahead for the club i fear and our football league future has to be in serious doubt.
