Boris Johnson & Rishi Sunak have received news of notices of 'PartyGate' fines

This should be the end of their tenure in office for both of them. However, for Johnson "I did not realise that I was breaking the law" may yet work.

Carrie Johnson has also received news that she will shortly receive a notice of a 'PartyGate' fine.

Ignorance of the law is no defence.

From a site that I googled: That means that if someone breaks the law, he or she is still liable even if they had no knowledge of the law being broken. Thomas Jefferson said, “Ignorance of the law is no excuse in any country. If it were, the laws would lose their effect, because it can always be pretended“

Also: ignorance may not clear a defendant of guilt, (but) it can be a consideration in sentencing.

So, guilt, writ large. And let’s not forget, Starmer’s a barrister. PMQs should be interesting next time out.

Boris Johnson's situation could be even worse if Rishi Sunak resigns, which he could well do. Sunak and his wife each have no shortage of money, so why put up with the criticism of their tax / green card status plus today's news. Also, Rishi Sunak is believed to not be Boris Johnson's best pal.

This should be a very busy time for Sir Graham Brady, the Chairman Of The 1922 Committee.

There’s a lot of chatter about the Ukraine situation preventing him being forced out, which is garbage. It hasn’t’t stopped the next French election, has it? This war could go on for years; should we cancel the next General Election? The bottom line is that this country is ruled by a party (stop sniggering), a Cabinet and ultimately the PM. Are they really suggesting that no one else is capable of taking over the role of PM?

As someone said on Radio 5 a few minutes ago, the Ukraine situation is a red herring, unless the PM can drive a tank.

Yup, all true on there. No reason why he shouldn’t go.

It seems that only the 360 Conservative MPs can get rid of this Prime Minister. They are using Ukraine as an excuse to the electorate of why they will keep him in place. That total of 54 Conservative MPs sending letters to the Chairman Of The 1922 Committee which is needed to force a Confidence Vote in the party leader will not be achieved.

He will be the Prime Minister going into the next General Election and the Conservatives will get an overall majority of 40, which will be 80 more than the Labour Party. This is not what I want. It is clear that no rules apply to Boris Johnson and he is shameless. The Conservative MPs are gutless and selfish. All that each one of them is considering is his / her chance of holding their individual seats and being in government. They are vile.
