Be careful what you wish for

Sacking Sean now is the most extraordinary decision I have ever seen in football. The pundits on Sky have roundly condemned the decision as 'ludicrous', 'ridiculous' and an April Fool's joke beyond belief. There is nobody with a better chance of keeping Burnley in the premier league with eight games remaining, and nobody better placed to get them back up from the Championship if they do go down, which now looks infinitely more likely than it did yesterday. This is a sad day in the annals of Burnley FC.

I'm totally gobsmacked and lost for words.

Anyone who knows me, knows I am NEVER lost for words, but this decision has left me with the inability to speak.

I'm going down the pub to think this one through!

Whichever way you look at it , we are hardly setting the world on fire with football ( win or lose )
We re a very loyal but very definite support at Burnley, we’re with the manager / team forever as long as it performs ( win or lose ) but if we’re honest the timing whilst it may be bad isn’t without warrant , we have been shockingly dire for months IMO anyway .

I hope the yanks know what they’re doing and have a proper plan in place , I
Mean to say championship isn’t what they expected and then to sack the manager and staff without a plan would make them complicit .

Then let Jamie Carragher say it for you BT,

Sky Sports pundit Jamie Carragher branded Burnley's decision to sack Dyche as a 'joke', adding on Twitter: "If you had given him a decent budget you would never have had a worry about getting relegated."

I'm not the thick as mince scouser's biggest fan, but that's the nail hit right smack on the head there.

fine...if I gave a damn what the Scuzz pundids think - they get paid to spout nonsense !

as I see it - S.D had an immovable routine - but for us to get results with the minimum outlay, it had to be - what that meant - as a Burnley player, you were cramped, stuck to it, week in week out - and as supporters, we suffered it, but even so, the majority were content with it because it gave us top-flight status...as was S.D, after all, he didn't resign
But for all the obvious reasons, it wasn't going to last forever...and where we are now is what many saw coming - Dyche could have tried something different, but he didn't....and even when it was undeniable, he stiuck stubbornly to the same tired tactics.....as for his sacking, it not as if he took a steep nosedive, we've been in steady decline for some years, so all I can say is - this should've been done months ago.

What have you got for me Army ? I'm not buying Froggy wines any more, nor their cheeses, but I'll make an exception on your recommendation. Just had a Chilean Kimbao Carmenere tonight from Naked. Excellent wine, cheap as chips, real value for money.

Nice wine that sinkov! I am on a Portuguese red from Naked, can't remember what it is, it just helps the day along. Hopefully see you in just over a week. Looking forward to it.
