Kicking off - the rise and fall of the Super League

Glad it imploded, and that UK clubs fans had a significant impact.on it's downfall (for now)

It's still there, (some) owners want it, supporters organisations have to be on constant guard against the unbridled greed of club owners, wherever they sit in the PL.

it's not just the owners. The media outlets and many of the "fans" also want it. They don't want to be subjected to having to qualify each year and the possibility of some peasant club like Blackburn or Leistecer usurping them.

Normally the FA and other oversight organizations would be all over this since it might increase revenue for them but then they realized that they'd lose control and money if it happened. The FA is all about making sure status quo continues.

Don't care what they do as long as they don't expect to also play for the local comp. From what I remember they wanted to also stay in the premier league.

Nah, couldn't have with the amount of games they would have to play. It imploded because English fans made it implode. Not to say it won't come back in some form, and we'll have to do the same again!

No, they were talking about having teams in the premier league as well be a different team in the super league but even then with the money they have, they will still dominate it.
