Attendances from football web pages.
9,337 sounds about right and it's one reason but not the only reason we don't have any £1m incoming transfers currently on the books.
I think it was Trevor Kettles last game before retirement
Had to laugh, a supposed Pompey fan tweeted, Hillsborough what a awesome ground 38,000 fans today, then another
supposed fan, tweeted just got home from Hillsborough, a 45,000 crowd, time got home 15.32 [Game started 12.30 game
time 1hr 30mins plus 15 min h/t break, would bring it to 14.15 so how did they get home super jet,
Looking at average home attendances for the lower end, like Accrington Stanley, how do they stay afloat ? , a chairman
& fellow directors, sponsors putting money into the club, perhaps like other clubs looking to bring out decent players, who
they sell to keep the club running, but far & in between.
The clubs have to hope for a cup run, try & reach the 3rd round & pull a premiership or high championship club, to put
money in the coffers.
I'm sure those in places 1 to 7, like that teams 8th, 9th and 10th have finished 1st, 2nd and 3rd in the league.
Looking at who potentially we will be playing next season, if there is not an increase in uptake on Season Tickets for next season, and there should be after this tremendous result, then Tony Stewart should put his business head on and allow more than 10% of the attendance to go to the away teams.
He needs to fill that away end and get has much revenue through the turnstiles as possible. If you look at other grounds, they don't cover 10-20 rows of seats leaving them empty, they proper marshal it with two lines of stewards with police in with them keeping fans apart, okay with Millwall being the exception.
It's time for the folk of Rotherham to get behind this club once and for all. We are about to play some real ''Massive'' clubs next season and that stadium should be rocking and at near as full capacity.
