Home fortress next season and the fans...

I think we will scrape enough away points next season to stay up given how well we have done away this season and the number of goals we have conceded away assuming our defence is as strong of course. The secret to staying up next season is to make our home a fortress. No more 1-0 losses like we did last time in the Championship at the very least turn them into draws.

The other thing is the role of our fans at home. Lets be honest, we have been shyte poor at times particularly when playing teams with little support or those at the bottom of the league. How much difference did our fans make to the score line v Oxford and Ipswich when they really started getting behind the team. We need to do this every game next season. It wont enable us to win all our home games admittedly but I would guess it could give us at least another 7 or 8 points. That could be vi tal to us staying up.

Also we are still crying out for our own song. I'm not even bothered what it is . It could be Nelly the elephant for all I care! Something that is uplifting and a song everyone knows.
New York, new york still hasn't taken off and I'm still not sure all fans know all of the words anyway. Try summat else then. Any ideas on here?

We have to do our bit as fans as well.

Yes I think we’ll stay up this time

Yes fans could do better, I’ve stopped trying in WS like a library is putting it mildly

Tbf there is some good footballing knowledge fans sat round me (no Cam it hasn’t rubbed off ) shame there’s an idiot who never shuts the **** up from the off, always moaning no matter what, think he’s called every player ****. (no it isn’t my ego ) I’ve had to bite a few times

Playing the right songs over tannoy could help even if it’s just getting them to clap like they did with the desire one (Will Grigg)

I’d appreciate it though if they’d turn it down in WS, I can’t hear myself think it’s that bloody loud

    Championship here we come

Think the prob with that part of the ground is that it is seperated from the rest because of the prawn sarnie lot in the middle. The north side of the west stand make plenty of noise sometimes even starting songs. Prob same with the south side of the east stand as well though. Looking from the north stand when clapping songs start eg red and white army the clapping only seems to extend to the half way line in both east and west stands. Its almost as tho you are not allowed to sing after the half way line! Are they intimidated by away fans or what? Is it to do with the kinds of fans who sit in those parts of the ground eg old age pensioners who dont like singing. I dunno?

Had some good banter in the lounge with a table of Weds fans who had actually sponsored the match! All was great until some dickhead pissed up Millers fan thought he’d take them on and ruined what was a good day.

Let's me off! Never done hospitality or been in the lounge. One thing I don't like about it I know someone from where I live takes guests there. Most of them I've never seen pay to watch a millers game.

I don't know if you realise Gru but everyone pays or is paid for in some way whether it be direct, through sponsorships, advertising....etc. There is actually no such thing as a free lunch, unless you go to the pub with Brin
