So Frank Lampard has said what he thinks about the standard of refereein favouring the major clubs, and looks likely to be fined by the FA. Following the refusal of the referee to give a penalty for the clear push by Matip on Gordon, Lampard suggested that if that was up the other end , a penalty would have been awarded to Klopp’s team. I believe he is correct, everyone thought it was a penalty except the referee , and I suppose that’s all that matters. We’ve been the victims of similar situations , and we all know that the big clubs always have more clout than clubs lower down the league.. On reflection, Everton’s defeat that day helped us stay in front of them, but you like to see justice done in situations like this.
We all know the game is corrupt , the bigger clubs will always have the advantage, in fact it’s getting more obvious as time goes by. It seems it’s now just a way of life in the Premier League and probably here to stay. Maybe the amount of prize money has something to do with it.Something which will never concern clubs like us.
