    O/T:- Eurovision

What are the odds of Ukraine winning the Eurovision Song Contest?

I'll wager "UKRAINE 2022" has already been pencilled on the side of the cup and I haven't even heard the song.

Our apprentice at work put a bet on last week, I think it was 8/13.

They should let Russia compete and beam it live. Crowd reaction would be interesting!

Wouldn't be surprised if some clubs adopt yellow and blue away kits for next season. If this war had begun a bit later in the year I'm quite certain that would have happened. A few teams did make a point of wearing yellow and blue 3rd kits in March whilst publicizing the fact they were doing it for that reason.

As a kid, I watched it for the flags. The only two songs I thought were quite good, by comparison, were the Belgium Kraftwerk-like entry in 1980 which came third-last and the demented Finland nul-pointer about not wanting to have a nuclear bomb dropped on your head, which must have been the last year I watched it - Bardo being the British entry that year with "One step further".

Some people say that about non-league football. Each to their own I guess. Keeps the masses drugged.

A month ago I said Ukraine to win the Eurovision song contest at 5/4 (amazingly short odds normally, but quite tempting in current circumstances).

I wish I'd gone for it, because they are a general 1/2 now.
