    Doyle gone too

So I see the club have now formally announced Doyle is moving to FGR with Burchnall. Anyone surprised? Comments?

Not surprised. The new man may have made some demands about his own side kick, which is fair enough.

He didn't appear to be doing much, other than stand with his hand in his pockets.. So no great loss..

Clearly IB enjoyed working with him, bearing in mind they were kind of thrown together by the circumstances surrounding Maurice Ross.

Can't say I'm too fussed to be honest. Was who we thought we needed to stay up and failed. Can't see where he's had any positive influence in training concidering we've gone backwards each season.

Certainly didn't see any infuence on the midfield.

If his interactions with players were as inspiring as his interviews, we’re well rid.

He might be a good match with Ian since his background is the mirror opposite. He was probably priceless here in the early days as he would have helped deliver the dressing room, politically, after Neal was shown the door in such... interesting circumstances.

However, one thing we gain from Ian leaving the way he did, is that any players who are really attached to him will definitely be thinking the club's done right by him. It means the incoming manager will arrive sans baggage (at least relatively) and if they bring their own assistant, won't be an issue.

It's hard to see what he did or was supposed to do. I don't think he'll be missed.

How can anyone not employed by the club see what a coach brings?
