O/T Mega Poptastic Pop Quiz (24)

Again, all songs are from the same year and were 'hits' in the UK. Once you figure out the year you'll know if it's in your wheelhouse and bear the year in mind when considering your answers. Don't go revealing the year and making it easy for the others.

In this year you could have played with your Action Man for the first time and paid with your Barclaycard as Britain's first credit card was introduced. Sadly, Chancellor of the Exchequer Jim Callaghan signaled the end of LSD as he announced plans for decimalisation. On TV, Camberwick Green was being shown for the first time and Dr. Who was morphing from William Hartnell into Patrick Troughton. For a bit of light relief you could have watched our friends from S6 lose a 2 goal lead in the FA Cup final at Wembley Stadium just a couple of months before some other sporting event of note happened there.

As usual - song title and artists needed and limit 5 entries per poster before you need to take a 24 hour break to give others a chance and NO GOOGLING PLEASE. Pull the answers from the depths of your brain. There's no disgrace in letting one of them get into your head and driving you mad until you finally get it, just after someone else has.

Right, had another think on 60:
I’d now say it was The Beatles - Yellow Submarine.

Really hard to get one song out of my head to get to another!

Well done - correct this time. Louis was a different year and although he mentions both green and blue it's in a different context.

Glad everything is OK. Welcome back.

All correct. For 22 you could have also had David and Jonathan as these were the days when more than 1 artist regularly had hits with the same song at the same time. There's even two more in this quiz.
