The club have spoken to Stendel

Yorkshire Post has reported that Stendel is one of several individuals spoken to during the search for a new head coach.

However, it appears Cheltenham Town boss Michael Duff is the Yorkshire club’s leading target.

The report claims he’s met with club officials twice, most recently on Monday, but is also on Blackpool’s radar as they search for a new manager.

Stendel is currently out of a job after leaving Ligue 2 side AS Nancy in September, just 10 games into his tenure, while his time at SPFL outfit Hearts, the club he joined after leaving Oakwell, lasted just 17 matches.

As much as i respect Daniel and the magnificent job he did here in giving us a great season the last time we were in league one I have to say not for me .

The squad isn't anywhere near the quality it was that he inherited in 2018 , the club's financial position again isn't anywhere near as good as it was in 2018 .

And finally NEVER GO BACK , it very rarely works .

Hopefully Ahmad is not making a b0ll0cks of the recruitment process--rumours of Questionnaires putting applicants off, early disclosure of names annoying some, and no interview panel being there for a Zoom call interview. It is now nearly eight weeks since Asbaghi said he was buggering off and pre season approaches.

Hopefully Ahmad and the Board are wisely scrutinising the applicants for this key role and the time taken doesn't see promising applicants go elsewhere.

The picture is becoming clearer with each week that passes. The bookmakers have us as 4th favourites to win league 1 this season

Considering the debt we find ourselves in and the state of the club right now, I'd be happy not to go into administration and finish mid table this season.

The broom may have swept through the boardroom but the stench left by PMG still lingers.

Tough season ahead. Stendel should steer well clear imo. All he'll do by coming back here is damage his credibility.

For me, Stenders wun't be a bad choice.
But for various reasons that have already been mentioned, I just dun't think he would be the right choice, unfortunately.
A few weeks ago we were told that the appt will be made by the 13th, but now more names are being suggested (including Stendel), its like we're still stuck at square one!.
