Why do we waste our preseason playing dross from lower leagues?

What does it tell us if we win 80-0? Or worse still, lose?
And worst of all we are BOUND to pick up injuries playing at best against people who are just not as quick; at worst, against thugs.
Whoever dreamed up this season's preseason has done us no favours at all. It's like Led Zep playing Swallownest Club.
A pathetic lack of ambition which is telling us nothing goind forward.

Can't see Zeppelin getting a gig that big to be honest. "Thugs"? No justification for tarring lower league clubs like that.

Nobody knows. Liverpool and Merchanside United are in Bangkok. Maybe all the Real Madrid and Barcelona players were washing their their hair today.

Steve, would you rather we play say Man City, Liverpool, Spurs etc and get tonked every game so demoralising players before we even get going? We're hardly going to play anyone in the Championship as we have them to play next season so you are looking at League 1 downwards. I think supporting Parkgate each season is showing support to a local side and to them as a club, as it boosts their gate for a game.

As for the rest, the team have just come back form working hard in Croatia so Warney isn't going to test them with higher placed teams with only two weeks to go before the new season starts.

The euros at nys has probably not helped in finding/drawing any higher teams to play this summer as our games are all away…hope that helps, if not maybe try some propranolol…
