    Lascelles

For all the knockers of our captain, thought he was outstanding last night, true grit, and heart like a lion get behind him for once!

    Did well.....against Tranmere.

I prefer not to notice my centre half at all during the game and see a clean sheet at the ebd. Felt he could have been quicker off the mark covering their goal scorer on the through ball.

Still, good goal and showed real grit playing on with the nose.

Absolutely, and yes it was Tranmere, but that doesn’t affect his attitude, it would have been the same against anybody, that’s one of the reasons he’s club captain, leading by example, and yes I know he’s not necessarily our best CB. I just wish people would cut him some slack sometimes.

His attitude has never been in doubt.

    It was Tranmere, man.

All I’m saying is his attitude was what you need from a captain, doesn’t matter whether it was Tranmere or Liverpool, it would have been the same, gutsy. Miggy doesn’t attract the same abuse, how come? Oh yes, he runs around a lot, brilliant, pity about the end result eh!

Yes his attitude was good and it always is. But, when assessing performance it’s important to look at the standard of the opposition. Lascelles was awesome in the Chimpo as was Gayle. Ritchie looked decent yesterday too (although Murphy didn’t, which is highly concerning for him).

Anyone watched his interview on NUFC-TV after the game? He looks like he's on another planet or smoked a joint or something......perhaps due to the bang on the head

We are talking about a supposed Premier League Centre Half playing against a 4th Division Club
