    Visit Lincoln...

I'm currently on holiday in Norfolk and on the way down we came down the A15 and called into Lincoln.

Only ever been once before and that was to Sincel Bank where we lost 2-1 (I think!).

What a beautiful city this is, the child bride was in raptures.

The cathedral really is out of this world.

Can't argue with that at all BT. Lots of interesting things in the Cathedral relating to the Royal Air Force and, in particular, Bomber Command. Acoustics are good as well, I have played in there countless times over the years.

Only been to Lincoln once, Saturday 30th January 1999. We drew 1-1, Brian Reid equalised with a 35 yard screamer, possibly the only goal he ever scored for us, I was sat right next to the Director's box, just two seats away from Barry Kilby, they wound up an old air-raid siren every time they got a corner, the cloud was that low you couldn't see the top of the spire on Lincoln Cathedral, and there was a sign in a house window near the ground which read, 'Single Slippers for Sale'. No me neither, perhaps there are a lot of one-legged people in Lincoln ?

I've never been back, but I've never forgotten Lincoln either.

I had to show the wife your post sinkov because she did not believe me on Sunday when I told her they wound up an old air-raid siren every time they got a corner.
