I have been convinced for some time that most are just copy and paste.

I am amazed at the errors made by reporters with the press and tv.
In the Mail on Sunday the reporter praised 5 of our stars for scoring quality goals against Hull. That was bad enough but when he listed the scorers he included the Hull player as playing and scoring for us.
Today on the BBC site I am reading an article all about the SA female cricketer Marizanne Kapp.
I have copied what the article says:
The all-rounder has witnessed the dramatic development of the women's game alongside her wife, South Africa skipper Dane van Niekerk.
The pair, who married in 2018, grew up playing with each other and they became the first female cricketers to be included in the Eastern Province Cricket Academy, playing alongside males.
Is it me or should the reporter not be commenting on her cricket achievements not her personal life!!
Error in heading I know.

Yarmbaggie, where have you been for the past few years? You must realise by now that sporting prowess and achievement is eclipsed by ***ual orientation?
Yes I have and of course you are spot on.
It must be my infantile mind but what tickled me was the comment that ‘they grew up playing with each other’.
I thought it was possibly accurate given both women are now ‘married’ to each other but I would have thought the reporter may have seen the potential for a what used to be called a ‘Colemanballs’ back in the day.
It’s shocking, has been for years. Plus other than actually writing an article of which you have the power to correct before anyone sees it, have you noticed how the letter “T” has been removed from everyday speech? (Drives me nuts!) you often hear ho instead of hoT, communiiy instead of communiTy.
