Had more fun been 20's in the 70's then 70 in the 20's....
Great musical band of the ages.
Better than the original recording from 78 in my opinion.
Brilliant track beautifully reformed by a true rock star who has truly lived the life.
And he can really play as I’m sure Lloyd and Kets will attest?

Agree. I saw them 2 nights in a row at the NIA in 2009..2nd night I was on front row about 20 feet from jo Walsh doing his stuff. What a band. 2 hrs plus of pure musicianship.didn’t want it to end. Henley and the late great Glen Fry right in front of me plus Timothy b and Stuart smith. Great night will never forget it. Even time for a pint in the prince of wales pub on the corner afterwards. In the city is my fave.
When you watch the musicianship on display in many of the live concert clips available on youtube from classic acts from the 70s such as The Eagles or Linda Ronstadt and you compare it with many of today's artists with their over reliance on spectacular light shows etc you can certainly notice the difference in quality! Of course, those other aspects of putting on the performance of a show have their place and being particularly skilled musicians doesn't necessarily guarantee a great show live show either but cant but admire the quality of Ronstadt's 1976 concerts from the "Reeling in the years" collection or the Eagles 1977 live tour. Ronstadt's band on "You're no good" or the Eagles "Hotel California" from this period are good examples. Certainly wasn't just American West Coast bands of course and plenty of Brits staged great live shows too.
Joe Walsh is a great guitarist, the Eagles, in all their formations, were really excellent. The original members of the Eagles started out as Linda Ronstadt’s backing band in LA. As for Ronstadt herself, one of the best female singers of all time, she could deliver rock, country, anything! Sadly, she now suffers from Parkinson’s disease and can no longer sing.
There’s a good TV series where AC/DC’s Brian Johnson meets various of his pals from music, one of which is Joe Walsh; it’s probably on ‘catch-up’ somewhere, worth a watch, as is the whole series!
One of my all-time favourite tracks, along with Freebird, Baker Street and Voodoo Chile.
Great guitarist Joe Walsh ... but when I went to see the Eagles he made a bit of a kn*bhe*d of himself by wearing this camera contraption on his head to record the audience ... looked plain daft ...
You might want to see the Eagles documentary "When*Hell freezes over".
I like The Eagles, not a great fan but I've watched the documentary several times.
It charts the Eagles beginning opening for Linda Ronstadt up to the Eagles reunion in the mid nineties.
Fascinating stuff including the demons Joe Walsh faced in his life.
