Justin Hayward - Weston Super Mare , Sunday Night.

Another dose of Moody Blues music , this time from a very prominent member of the band, who, at 75 years of age could still produce the music that Moody Blues fans like me, we’re very familiar with.
As he wasn’t coming to South Wales, I had no choice to but to make a round trip of 130 miles to see this artist live, right in front of me.
Again , Justin Hayward knew how to entertain the sell out audience at the Playhouse Thestre., going through a mixture of his own stories plus a fair chunk of Moody Blues classics which have spanned over 50 years. Just like the Go Now concert , my favourite song of the evening was again, Forever Autumn. He also told some stories about how some of their classic songs originated, which made the evening more interesting. I am sure he could sell out bigger venues , but he seems to prefer to play smaller concert halls like this one. It was great way to end a musical weekend. If nothing else, I’m just glad none of them clashed with each other. Now that would have been a hard choice to make if that was the case !

I have been lucky enough to see them several times when Ray Thomas and Graeme Edge were still alive. I saw Justin Hayward a couple of years ago at Norwich. Always excellent shows, brilliant performances.

I saw them in Los Angeles when Patrick Moraz was in the set up. What a showman and keyboard wizard he is.

A great group collectively and individually.

I went to see the Blue Jays (Justin Hayward & John Lodge) with my then girlfriend at the Ardwick Apollo, Manchester in December 1975. Fantastic concert. Nights in White Satin. I was young and in love.

I saw them in Birmingham on that tour. Blue Jays is a great album. I went with my wife, now divorced, but that’s another story!
