Apparently there is a way for Notts fans to get a free beer in Dorking before the match...

They had a very good win away to high flying Barnet so no pushovers but Notts should be way too strong..

All disrespect to Dorking. If it is possible for a team on your league fixture list to be a joke, then this has to be as close to one as I've ever known. Not just the history of the club - the size of which amounts to two seasons spent in tier 6 after forming in 1999 - but the sound of the name, Dorking Wanderers. Good grief.

To be fair to them, they did win the play offs last season as the highest placed club after finishing 7th the season before and they have started this season reasonably well, albeit two of their three wins coming against fellow promoted sides and the other against the faltering Barnet on Tuesday night.

Last two home games they've lost 4-1 to BW and 5-0 to Wrexham.

A potential banana skin but we really should and probably must win this one.

EDIT: Probably best to watch the video as I may have misunderstood but this what I think he said...

'The Spotted Dog' pub was drawn out of the hat and a member of DWFC staff will go in there at about 12:30pm on matchday and give £300 to the first Notts fan they see to share with their fellow fans on drinks. Nice idea!

Personally I think they are to be admired rather than disrespected as they've achieved a heck of a lot in a short space of time. I like their attitude that 'watching football should be fun' too. All credit to them from me I'm afraid. No joke as far as I'm concerned!

I'm very much hoping that, along with Wrexham and Boreham Wood, that Notts can add further weight to the realisation that watching football for them at this level is humiliation rather than fun and that they dork off back into tier 6 ASAP. Save these type of fixtures for the FA Trophy and our 2nd 11. Bl00dy southerners as well. No respect from me and hope the free beer gesture doesn't placate our fans to go easy on them or the officials.

Trying a little too hard UTM, a little more subtlety needed but good effort nonetheless.

As for Dorking and the surrounding areas, lovely part of the country to live
