Somebody give Barnes his P45 now please

He is like a fish out of water. He does not suit VK`s style of play and because of that does not fit in and contributes nothing. In my opinion he is not fit to play in the Championship.
Charlie Taylor is also like a fish out of water as a CB.
Missing Jack Cork badly.Terrible 45 minutes.

I wrote last week Vinny had found his best starting eleven so what does he do?

The leftovers from the Dyche era simply do not fit in BT apart from Cork,Jayrod and Gudmondssen. The rest need to go.

Barnes would be better moving down a league or two. Perhaps Duffo could use him at Barnsley. He has no future at Burnley and his wages are a waste of money.

Unfortunately You are right. Out of 4 Strikers from last year only Jayrod is here or fits the system now. January clear out of past it players and add 1/2 is what's required.

I agree DD. Perhaps we will see Twine in action. Maybe he will provide some firepower and a style of play that fits.

At least JayRod can control the ball and use his feet. Can he last the pace though?

Becoming a bit of a hobby horse of mine is this one, but why have the young Turk on loan if we are not going to give him a game? Barnes needs to go; he's an honest lad and he will know it's time to go.

It is a pity that things have turned so sour for Ash this season. He was an integral part of Burnley’s rise to the PL and our prolonged stay there.

Simple truth Sir Outwood is that he was a perfect fit for SD's rough house style of play but not so much for VK's silky smooth possession based footy.

    I still love him though...

In his day, Barnes was what we needed. He got us up the pitch. He scored goals. Who will forget his goal against West Brom when the ball must have been a foot behind him, or his link up play with Wood when we sliced our way through West Ham, being them 3-0 away.

He does not have the skills for the VK style of play where everyone is expected to be comfortable on the ball. JayRod can carry the ball, he can find a team mate at distance. Barnes is not that type of player.

He has been great for us but I think it is time for him to move in and make an impact at a lower level.
