The Telegraph apparently is reporting the case of a teacher in Ireland who is facing a prison term for refusing to call a transgender pupil "they". On the face of it this seems to be wokieness gone mad but maybe the detail counts? He says he will not do so because Transgenderism is against his Christian beliefs.

Personally, I have no issue with Transgenderism in itself but I do when it comes to the over-entitlement aspects of so called "self-identification". If a boy, for example, has transgendered to being a girl, or is a way down the path to doing so, even before any physical surgery has been finalized, then I would have no issue in calling them "she" because that is the ***ual orientation they clearly wish to be now regardless of the genitalia they were born with. But I am never going to call them by the "they" pronoun as this, to me, is simply nonsense and a clear sign of an exaggerated sense of entitlement. As for anyone who views themselves as "gender fluid" then if they have a dick then I'd call them a he, if they have tits and a fanny, then it would be she. Surely no different than calling gay or bi***ual men "men" or lesbian or bi women "women" still (which the vast majority in these groups do not object to ). Having particular genitalia does not dictate ***uality but it's a common-sense way of classification surely?
