At the beginning of the season he played almost a floating role, coming inside, even getting into the box.
I don’t think he was that influential at Sunderland. Vitiniho appeared to be far more involved in all that was good about our second half performance.
Having said that, I think it is better to have him in the squad than not. With injuries and suspensions, we may need him.

Having seen all our games so far this season I think that Vitiniho, Harwood-Bellis, Beyer and Maatsen are our best back four.
