What's the betting that all the quarter final games go to penalties? If only England can win their penalty shoot out against France then it could be England v Morocco.

The match will give us a better insight as to our standard. We have been, rightly in my opinion, the favourite each of our matches so far. France will show us just how good, or otherwise, we are. I’m looking forward to seeing the challenge.

France are nothing special but......you cannot allow Mbappe the chance to get a shot away anywhere within 25 yards and you have to stand up and not dive into challenges with him.

I’d consider man marking him with Rice or maybe Bellingham.

Southgate has got the better squad and last years tournament proved he was nearly there. Can't see virtually the same group of players allowing the tournament to pass them by now, as there's so much ability and experience of big matches in there. Barring a catastrophe, Gareth will have his knighthood.

Mbappe will be key for France but they area decent side who will certainly test England more than their previous opponents. We have looked good going forward at times but our defence still worries me. Get past them tonight though and dare we dream?

0-1 and it had been coming. Mbappe isn't the only threat. Need to be much tighter at the back but France have some very decent players. That said, we also have enough quality to get goals of our own but need to start pushing harder now.
