    West Brom Post Match Thoughts

As CAM mentioned, he's on his UK hols and has asked me to set up the post match thread and a couple more.

Well, we seem to have returned to the team with a porous defense that graced this league two seasons ago. Illness is a headwind, and playing a resurgent West Brom side hasn't helped, but virtually no shots on goal says a lot for what isn't working. Is Taylor falling short of expectations or will some good business in the January window make a difference? Thoughts?

Warney recognised the limitations of his players and his budget and worked on (usually) high-octane performance and fitness. This was our last game before BD and the players looked like they had just come in for a kick-around before going back to the mince pies and sherbets.

    Really disappointing and worrying

Did anyone really expect to even get a point today

Wiles stick him back in midfield and get a proper striker up front with chio.

God knows why he fouled him for a pen he was going no were

Viking could off done better with the first 2 goals.

    Just out money today.

What do people expect when you all you get is free transfers.

Yes luton you compare us to. Well I look forward to spending over 2 million on a striker like they did at the start off the season.

We are a relegation fight team expect nothing else

....................relegation, if we don't win the next 2 matches............no if's or buts. Today was a complete shambles from the team sheets coming out. I've never shook my head as much as today watching that pile of poo.
Feel sorry for the 1000+ who went to watch it.

Not a lot to be positive about in the last two games, god knows what they did in the break that they said we desperately needed. It is interesting that both BC and WBA have had illness in the camp yet you would think South Yorkshire has seen an outbreak of the Spanish Flu the way we use it as an excuse. Illness impacts the available players and can impact the level of fitness of some of those playing, but it doesn't excuse the awful positioning, tactics and lack of effort we have seen in the last two games. Our defence was so bad today, if it wasn't for the Viking it would have been 7 or 8, what the F'ing hell was harding doing at the throw-in that led to the second, unbelievable. The WBA iFollow commentator (who was very fair to be honest) summed it up, that our defending was terrible all game, if Mccart and Bola can't get in that defence they must be crap players. So pleased to see Hall come on, god we miss him, as soon as he came on we looked so much better at the back. peltier and Bramall are squad players at the best, awful signings and if we could get shut in january we should, but obviously we can't. If barlasar and Wiles go in January we really will miss them, they are the only players that try to make something happen, Ogbene was much better when he went right wing back. Washington touched the ball once and gave it away for them to break away, running around a lot is not football if you have no ability to support it. We did not recruit well in the close season, for whatever reason but there is a lot of very average or poor players in that squad. Let us end with some positives. 1. Viking, brilliant 2. Hall is back 3. It is xmas next week. The next 2 games are very very important in terms of points and showing whether we have the belief to stay up, 4 points from them 2 games and we still have a chance, but we have to stop leaking goals and TS has to support MT in getting the personnel changes required.

Didn't recruit well because we was having to give them peanuts which Is our normal recruitment policy

Why do you think 1 reasons why warnie left showing no ambition.

You either praise Tony Stewart for running a tight ship and expect these results in the championship.
