    Road surfaces...

What the road surfaces like in Cumbria?

Today I drove to Southwell which is 10 miles away and I was dodgy potholes nearly all the way there and back with whole rows of the bleeders in some parts,I hit a couple of them along the way and it didn't half make the car go with a bang, who's to blame for it,I thought that we paid in road tax or summat for its upkeep,is it the same on the rural roads of Cumbria?

Side roads none too good with some deep potholes. Main roads good.

Same around our way, this Winter’s knocked seven bells out of them. Freeze/thaw then water = holes.

One of my many driver terrain assist settings is mud ruts, doesn’t even spill my Costa Coffee 😎

Confirms everything I thought - you only have cart tracks down in the midlands.

I wouldn't live anywhere but Nottingham tbh, there are more beautiful and scenic places to live but I've lived and worked in the same two miles all of my life,my sister moved to Mansfield ten miles away and she's seen as the adventurous one in our family
