    Clueless

Listened to some of his post match utterances and there is no depth to anything he says.

It seems to be mumbo jumbo make the players play without fear and make them happy and we will suddenly turn into 1992 AC Milan.

Where is the detailed instructions, where is the marked improvement in players due to coaching - I can’t see any of it.

Someone at Villa said the difference in managers was that Gerrard was telling them what to do but without being able to tell them how to do it and explain how to deliver their vision.

We seem to have appointed someone who is more suited to a wellbeing role as our head coach and no sign we are going to do anything about.

FFS Struijk is not a LB and Wober can play effectively there but he persists and is probably ruining his confidence.

Harrison is not a central midfielder and yet …

At times with his pressing system we look like an u11 side where you can throw a blanket over all the players so compressed are they.

The first half was okay bar their goal yesterday but second half was shambolic and his subs were typically fcuking appalling.

By the time the Man U games are done I expect us to be sitting comfortably in the bottom 3.

His system relies far too much on chance and luck and is so simple it is easy to counter.

Bielsa may have stuck to plan A but at least Plan A was based on sound football principles and when it worked it was a joy to behold. He also had variants for different teams.

Whoever is responsible for replacing Bielsa with Captain Calamity needs to be dunked in the River Aire - sure the fans would pay to see that.

Would love to see what the owners 5 year plan looks like - if anyone read the Times article on Sunday that looks a million miles away as we will be in the EFL unless they grasp the nettle pdq

I thought about this after the match yesterday. I realized that since the LG 1 days I've never thought we'd be relegated. Even with the 15 point penalty and deeply in last place I thought we'd dig out of it. During some of the dark days in the Championship I never thought it woudl happen. For some reason I never felt it last year.

This year, even with the terrific squad of talent we have I feel it is going to happen.

when you go to "worst case scenarios" it's just really grim. What established coach is going to take a chance on their career with this squad? How long is the board going to wait? we have 2 more sure losses coming up and by the time they fire Ted we are likely to be rock bottom. I don't know who's out there that rolls the dice on their career with that kind of scenario.

I never thought I'd say it but at this point I'd even take Big Sam or Pulis. agonizing football but they probably keep us up.

Moscow White of The Square Ball wrote today.
"Maybe the problem is Jesse Marsch. Maybe when he tells us the Premier League is harder than he expected, tells us that he needs to remove the stress from the situation but he can’t, tells us that he can’t improve the players in stressful conditions, tells us that he doesn’t know why its taking so long for the players to make his style of play work, maybe he’s telling us something and maybe we should listen to him."

So I'll add that working in an environment such as PL everyone knows that failure is unacceptable or that anything less than 'acceptable is failure' - end of !

For top players failure is seen as an opportunity to learn & grow.
Failure is an opportunity to be embraced, analysed & picked apart & acted on by those who can spot it. (Big clue there).

In PL no such 'failure' remit exists for Head Coaches.
For me it is far better to fail in 'originality' (Bielsa) rather than to succeed in imitation. The Red Bull method ain't the answer for PL or indeed entertainment in any top league, IMO.

As Charles Darwin said "it is not the strongest of the species that survives, it is the one that is most adaptable to change.”
To date I've seen NO originality or adaptability of tactics from JM either, sadly.

Sadly, JM just isn't adaptable to/for change as a Head Coach and today his stats will state that JM is only the second Manager of Leeds in the last 70 years to have a run of 2 wins in 17 games - the other was Wilko in '96 !

The JM 'growth mindset' philosophy means that we believe through hard work & effort we can grow & learn, even in the face of failure. It means we believe mastery is possible if we keep trying, keep taking chances, and work toward improving. Failure is not a permanent condition.

Sorry but it doesn't work in PL as it also requires psychological flexibility, to let people think outside of the box & be creative when confronted with an obstacle & ultimately it also needs to allow people (players & coaches) to change course as needed.

We've grounded & need change soon to reset our course, end of.

I didn’t actually think they would act so quickly. Can’t wait to see what Orta says if he is allowed anywhere near the media.

They've not acted quickly, quick would have been before the World Cup break when we were **** or just after it when we were still utter ****.

Indeed - I meant but omitted to say after the Forest shambles. I would have got rid in October before the Liverpool anomaly.

I had a fear he would be given until the end of this month.
