Oh no! We killed Jesse! I must admit that I'm surprised at the timing, but perhaps his replacement has been lined up for a while now? We shall see. I wish Jesse better luck in his next job and, though it didn't work out this season, his enthusiasm was possibly the catalyst that helped keep us up in the last campaign and no-one could ever doubt his passion.
With the real news out of the way, our virtual PL manager of the week was Ozleeds (OOOO), who scored a dozen points by successfully predicting the outcomes of all four matches. He was two goals "out" in each of the four games, but perfect weeks are few and far between. Could Oz be our next manager?
The Tottster (xOxO), MORRIM (xxEx), Orgoner (OOxx), Sniffer (xxxE) and Stompy (xOxO) joined resident Roboposter, Homer (OOxx), in picking up half-an-Oz. A six pack is often a cause for celebration Down Under.
Nasty's lead holds at a dozen over Ozwhites and Silentman, with MORRIM nibbling his separation from the latter pair to six points.
There was one draw, so Johnny_Default moves to 48 points. Any Strike 1, Strike 2 (Ubique) or Strike 3 posters scored three, two or one for their total lack of effort. Alf really has taken his ball and jumpers away.
The results
(PL) Forest v Leeds (1-0)
(C) Luton v Stoke (1-0)
(L1) Exeter v Charlton (1-2)
(L2) Northampton v Walsall (0-0)
The next fixtures are out as a separate thread.
All the best! Stay safe!![]()
