    The way the media reported this possible scenario of Corbaran going to Leeds suggests that he had talks with them but their offer was an 18 month contract which he turned down and promptly signed an extension to his current Albion contract. If he was under contract to us then I did not think a club could talk to him unless we had given permission for him to talk to the other club. So we either gave him permission and were prepared to let him go or he never had talks with Leeds and its bullsh*t journalism. I would be interested to know which it is.

    I did read somewhere that Lai had given the go ahead for CC to talk to Leeds, although it wasn’t a particularly reliable source of information. If true, though, it would have been an indication of Lai’s willingness to pocket a couple of million at the expense of the club. Who knows?
