Can't see how clergymen and women think it's for them to decide what God is or isn't, the same with blessing same *** marriages - appeasement. There is some irony though, the church is full of homo***ual men wearing frocks so it's only a surprise that it took so long for them to get here.

Of course God could be anything really but the disciples probably decided that it was easier to make him in their own image then claim it was the other way around! Those religions that have a pantheon of God's have male Gods, female Gods, animal Gods et c but the monotheistic ones -Christianity, Judaism and Islam-all have their one God as male but all 3 are derived from the same source.

I put in another post about gay marriage that I thought that the C of E should recognise same *** marriage as the main point of the marriage contract is about love and commitment not ***uality or propegation. As the C of E is the official religion of England and the state and purports to then represent the population, it's time it moved with the times and reflected current culture more. However, changing the ***/gender of God is different again and is just woke madness. Next it'll be a transgender Jesus! These may be just characters in a story for many non-believers but you wouldn't change the gender of fictional literary characters (e.g. Bond) so why should you do it with those in the Bible?
