Forum going out 'live' on the internet & remaining there, it is important.

When the club's football forum goes out 'live' on the internet and remains there indefinitely it is clear that anyone worldwide who has an internet enabled device can access it 'live' and can access it indefinitely. Just in case it is ever removed from the internet you can also download it to your hard drive.

Thus this kind of thing can be known.

Here is one of our owners making light of our debt which is a constant substantial pain to the club. He compares the amount of debt to the overall value of the club's assets / balance sheet / value of the club. But the real value of the club's most obvious asset is much exaggerated in the accounts. Brunton Park is worth almost nothing because of the flood risk which has actually been realised twice within easy living memory. Furthermore, there is a covenant on it which states "football use only".

Here is that same one of our owners actually stating that something had happened that certainly had not happened. The club's 'B' shares (which for nearly all practical purposes have no power and no value) had not been converted into 'A' shares which have all the power.

This is why it is important that the club's forum goes out 'live' on the internet and remains there indefinitely. Matters such as these can be referenced indefinitely if anyone challenges that they actually occurred.

It is important that anyone who accuses our owners of telling lies has proof that such accusations are true. I never accuse them of telling lies. In the specific matter of the 'B' shares to 'A' shares I do not actually accuse him of telling lies, I merely provide proof that he said something had happened which had not and has not happened. Whilst this may be semantics I believe that it is important legal semantics.

It was impressive to see that although there was no immediately serious financial problem, the board did have due regard
for the possibility that one could occur and were trying to avoid it. This is unlike the attitude of our Holdings director in my first post.

The way that it was done was interesting, the MC offering the microphone at each table for questions and doing his round of the tables once for questions to the manager, once for questions to the directors and then collating questions that had been sent in. In a Carlisle United Forum questions may be submitted in advance to an email address and voiced by the MC, may be taken from the floor or may be taken from the text box adjacent to the 'live' internet broadcast. The panel gets no advance notice of any question.

Having several cameras and thus letting us see the people asking questions is a debatable point. There is a case for not doing that. The panel were all key people at the club and thus we can categorise them as public figures. The people asking the questions, in my opinion, have the right to remain totally anonymous to anyone not in the room. I recognise the counter-argument to this which is "Everyone sees who I (panelist) am and therefore everyone should be able to see who he / she is".

I recognise the difficult situation that was in play at the time of this forum. It necessitated the owner "playing a few deliveries with his pads".

Can anyone love Rochdale as much as you Stefan,eh,can they?

I've had a soft spot for them since posting on there about ten years ago,a good set of lads TBF and always keep up to date with ongoings

Btw,if you loved them as much as you claim then you would refer to them as Dale not Rochdale
